Plan of SEMINAR on 2017-07-20:

1. 10.15 - 10.30 Welcome the participants of the seminar.

2. 10.30 - 10-45 SESSION SUBJECT: Factors affecting currency exchange rates in 2017. Methods of currency risk management

During the meeting we will present and discuss the main factors that had an impact on the foreign exchange market in the first half of the 2017 and those that will influance the situation on the markets in the second half of 2017.  We will tell also about effective ways of trade margin protection in volatile FX markets.

THE SPEAKER: Jakub Makurat (Ebury) - Representative Office in Poland of European International Payment Institution for the last 2,5 years. He provides financial services for enterprises acting on foreign markets. Specializes in currency risk management, international settlements and short-term financing. Over the last few years involved with various Fintech projects in Poland, previously worked for international financial brands like Raiffaisen Bank, Fortis, Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for risk management, business financing and raising capital. He has educational background in international finances and banking. Furthermore, he is involved also in academic and training activity.

3. 10.45 - 11.00 SESSION SUBJECT: Grains in Poland and worldwide

The situation on the world grain market at the beginning of harvest in Europe.

THE SPEAKER: Radosław Stasiuk (ADM) - For 18 years associated with the agro-food industry. Starting from trading grains and protein meals, through responsibilities in the feed and consumption purchases sector ending with managing A. C. Toepfer and ADM companies in Poland. For almost 2 years representing ADM in Poland as General Manager.

4. 11.00 - 11.15 SESSION SUBJECT: Harvest in Germany

German market of grains and rapeseed, supply and demand, the first information from the fields, quality and efficiency.

THE SPEAKER: Alfred Reindl (BAYWA AG) - grew up in South-East Germany in the surrounding of a family-run agricultural store-house. Since 1993 he is working in the grain business and 20 years in grain trade. Since 2005 he is working for BayWa Munich as trade manager for milling grains and is responsible there for the trade with milling grains in Central Europe and also for transport per inland waterway vessels. The sales quantities of his department are abt. 2,2 mil. tons per year and he is working with a team of 15 colleagues.

5. 11.15 - 11.30 SESSION SUBJECT: Harvest in Czech and Slovakia

Czech and Slovakian market of grains and rapeseed, supply and demand, the first information from the fields, quality and efficiency.

THE SPEAKER: Walter Enders (BOR) - Experienced with agriculture export and import trade since 1998. Starting with hop trade, for breweries for brewing beer. Since 2004 in trade with Grain and Oilseeds on the european market.
Starting at a Czech private companies, up to today’s engagament as a head trader for BOR s.r.o. as a daughter company of BayWa AG and RWA Wien AG for the Czech Republic.

6. 11.30 - 11.45 SESSION SUBJECT: Harvest in Ukraine

Ukrainian market of grains and rapeseed, supply and demand, the first information from the fields, quality and efficiency

THE SPEAKER: Walenty Sielwiesiuk (UMG Ukraine) - 26 years in grain business. Experience in working in Poland, France, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine. From multinationals (Louis Dreyfus) to local startups (Tauris). Currently working for UMG Ukraine. Directs the activities of the company for the export of and trade  grains. UMG company belongs to a group of SCM (System Capital Management) the largest in Ukraine's energy and industrial holding company. Export and trade in cereals since 2015.

7. 11.45 - 12.00 SUBJECT SESSION: Soybean market

Overview of soybean market at the beginning of the new season.

THE SPEAKER: Michał Dybał (Cargill Poland) - Economist. Trader, managing a team of Soybean department in the Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain EMEA-responsible for the German market, the Polish market and Baltic countries. The Vice President of The Grain and Feed Chamber

8. 12.00 - 12.15 SUBJECT SESSION: Rapseed market

The first information from the fields about rapseed in Poland, predictions for the comming season.

THE SPEAKER: Tomasz Wika (ZT Kruszwica) - Member of the Board of the ZT "Kruszwica, Oilseed Value Chain Director in Bunge group

9. 12.15 - 12.30 SUBJECT SESSION: Power of leading indicators to predict where commodity markets would move

THE SPEAKER: Piotr Grela (Tradercom Investments) - Trader - trading actively on the futures’ markets, stocks and Forex for more then 20 years. DiNapoli Expert and Authorized Trainer for over 10 years.  The first ever Polish Trader conducting training at the prestigious The Traders’ Expo in New York in February 2016. The first Polish who led the presentation in November 2013 during the famous The World Money Show in London among such Traders and Hedge Funds Managers like John Bollinger and Jim Rogers. Conducting training during known in Europe “The WallStreet Conference” and various workshops organized by the Polish Private Investors’ Association. Being regularly interviewed on various TV financial programs on status of the financial markets. Publisher of weekly report on the financial and commodity markets “MasterSwingNewsletter”. Author of the book “Futures’ markets – Concepts and Trading Systems” published in 2009 ( in Polish ).
